Mountain of Grilled Veggies for…..
Tacos Today!
I had a ton of veggies I needed to cook, so it was off to the grill. I grilled 2 different types of eggplant, zuccini, crock neck squash, a patty pan squash, beets, and onions.
I used some of that for my tacos, along with HH Nacho Cheeze Sauce, black beans, chopped frisee, and tomato from my garden. Oh, and salsa - can’t forget the salsa.
Mmmmmm, I love taco night!
More Inversion Play
First time I did this too: tripod head stand and then took turns wrapping (eagle legs?) my legs around each other.
Mini Eggplant Flower
I have two Mini Eggplant Plants on my deck and they are (finally) starting to flower. Pretty!
Today’s Harvest from my Deck-a-Garden:
Tomatoes and Chard
I cooked the chard for dinner w/garlic and black beans: Southwest-ish Greens & Beans.
Grill Celeriac? Sure, Why Not?
So, I aquired a celeriac (celery root) and I wanted to grill other veggies for a Mexican Grill Plate, so I threw it on to the grill too. It was really, really good. I’m going to have to do that again.
Anyways, besides celeriac, I grilled corn on the cob, mushrooms, polenta, and onions. I added those to a plate of red lettuce and cherry tomatoes from my deck-a-garden. And to top it off, I made a salsa dressing for the salad and a nacho cheeze sauce (a la Happy Herbivore) for everything else.
Oh, and all this is super healthy (whole foods and low fat)! Yay!
I love to grill…..Mmmmmm.

Oh, I should have done this months ago!
So, even a deck-a-garden gets riddled with pests. I was using a safe-soap spray, but that was a pain.
The lady bugs have greatly helped the pest issues, *and* my son is kept busy by looking after them.
Score all around!

It’s Super Tomato!
Well, it’s the biggest yet and pretty impressive considering it was grown in plastic container on my deck.
Yes, I’m a dork: I find all this gardening-on-my-deck stuff terribly exciting.

It keeps getting bigger!
Sad news: my largest bell pepper was munched on by a squirrel. Fuck-nugget squirrel. Oh well. Longer to wait for more peppers.
