Herbivore Restaurant Challenge
So, I used to be a wee bit irked when I went to restaurants and there was really nothing I could eat except salad (maybe). Then, I took the advise of cookbook author Lindsay Nixon: When at a restaurant where nothing on the menu looks suitable, just be super friendly with the server and ask them if the chef is up for a cooking challenge: a vegan challenge. That’s what I did here. The server was super nice and I got this amazing lunch of an heirloom tomato salad and roasted veggies which included sweet potatoes, artichoke hearts, and golden beats. It was great!
